What is the Fresno Teacher Residency Program?
The Fresno Teacher Residency Program (FTRP) is a joint effort between Fresno Unified and University Partners to transform the student teaching experience. The overarching goal of the FTRP is to improve student achievement in science, technology, math, and engineering in grades TK-12 through innovative, cutting edge teacher preparation program coupled with significant professional support.
Requirements
- College graduate with a BA degree
- Meet all university and district requirements
- Meet the Basic Skills Requirements and Subject Matter Competency
- Commitment to teach in Fresno Unified for a minimum of 4 years after completing the program
